CORRIE

Corrie, the dog formerly known as Sweep (and previously known as Chewie) has gone off to be the adored companion of a good friend of our great vet Dr. Dobias.

Just want to give you an update on Corrie J. (I added the initial to his name as J. was one of my husband’s initials and it goes well with his name.)

How could I have got so lucky to adopt such a sweet guy? He is coming along really well, starting to assert himself more and more with my bossy little Ben, in fact, Corrie J. may end up being the Alpha. He has grown so much and looks so good. His indiscriminate chewing of things he shouldn’t is getting much better and he really listens when he is told “no.” He comes (most times) when he is called when we are off leash walking on the trails, certainly responds better than Ben. Corrie J. loves riding in the car and has been to Victoria to my new home there and thoroughly enjoyed the garden. He was a little scared of waves at first when we went to the beach, but soon got over that. He hasn’t swam yet, but I think he will next year, came close to it this year.

He likes to chase my cats, but I am able to tell him no and he does listen, but they are such fun to chase! He and Ben have so many toys, he loves toys especially the green squeaky one that he has right now that is sooooo loud! He doesn’t climb on the furniture, except when I vacuum as he is afraid of the vacuum, but we are working on that. Benny and he are great friends and snuggle up together at night when I am watching tv.

In summary, he is a great young man, I know he will be a good friend as he matures and I am so lucky he is living with me!

My best and thank you again
