I thought
you might want to see what the puppy has been up to these last couple
of days. We have decided to call her Dot (because of that cute black
patch on her bum). Her first night was a little scary, but with
some reassuring words she settled down and slept almost through
the night. Dot is going to bed without any problems now (as long
as she knows we are in the room with her). Housetraining is progressing
and we have had fewer and fewer accidents around the house (maybe
because she is training us when to take her out ;). Dot got to meet
quite a few people at our holiday gatherings and everybody loves
her to pieces. She even got along amicably with other dogs present
at these events (she and Amanda’s parent’s dog Shadow
hit it off well though I think Shadow was exhausted before she was).
Christmas did not overlook her as there were plenty of new chew
toys and nyla-bones for her to gnaw on. Dot is responding to her
name, will come when called (sort of), and somewhat recognizes the
phrase “lets go do your business”.
