Echo,
formerly known as "Lite Brite" was a masterfully intelligent
puppy with energy to spare. We were sad to see her go, but knew
she had a great home with Val!
She
is a gem! With all of Echo's exuberance, she has managed to strain
her hips...we hope! She is showing some of the signs of hip dysplasia,
tho. Therefore, for the last 4 wks. she has been getting acupuncture,
chiropractic adj. and homeopathic remedies to ensure a speedy recovery.
Aug. 21 she is booked for spay and Xray of hips and spine. Her exercise
has been reduced to swimming, alot and running on the flat fields
only, with no sky jumping, flips, or ?? that she seems to want to
throw into her everyday frenzy. She looks like "Fizz's"
McNab twin while retreiving in the river. Drag racing with him is
so much fun. Curtailing her exercise has been a hard task for her
so her best friend "Riot" JRT has been doing a wonderful
job keeping her happy doing flat chases. What a team they make.
They are almost inseparable. Our vet was most worried about trying
to do acupuncture on her. After all, she WAS a very worried and
reserved girl. NO MORE, as she has been settling in marvelously
and is quite happy to enjoy the attention given her during each
treatment. She has been the star of the party. All in all, she is
a very special little girl that is growing up into the gem that
she is. We love her dearly.
