GLYN

We have new photos of Glyn to share, as soon as we get them scanned

We love all the dogs that come through IBCRforBC, but once in a while we love one beyond all reason. It broke our hearts to part with Glyn who was so sweet, so trusting and so eager to create a bond. But we found him a perfect home, and we know he'll be very happy. We miss you Glyn!

Glyn had his visit to the vet today and it went very well.. He had been rubbing his eye socket the last few days and the vet took out at suture that had worked it`s way to the surface. He checked both his eyes and says everything looks good. He thinks Glyn might just be 4 years old. I think he`s starting to look younger as some of the stress disappears. He`s definitly getting more confident everyday. Carolyn thinks he was not exposed to too many things as he seems to be having lots of new experiences...the elevator for one! Glyn was sure the floor was going to fall out from under his feet the first few times so he had to lay down when he got in. He`s getting the hang of it now though and has figured out how to stand up in it and keep his balance!

We are trying to expose him to a few things at a time so as not to overwhelm him. He is so smart though he catches on fast. He now understands Robbies whistle command that means" look at me cuz I`m going to tell you to do something different or change direction". It`s so cute to see the two of them turn simultantously and look. If Rob where a bit younger I think they would have made really good working partners. Rob`s had a bit of a stressful week as he had a growth removed from his anus..ouch..and the sutures came out and had to get put back in. I`ve had Rob at work with me as a result so I can keep an eye on him. This meant Glyn was left at home all day with just the cats. He was a very good boy, no problem at all but I think he missed Rob`s company.

Mom has been enjoying taking him out for afternoon walks and he`s been good for her too. No more pee episodes in the house, I think that was just nerves. Still not a sound out of him either except for a few whinings when he`s dreaming. I wish someone else who shall go nameless was that quiet! Anyway he`s doing great and the vet was very impressed with you (I told him about your border collie rescue) Will keep you posted
