Thanks for
such a great addition to our family! The 4 of us are doing great.
Indy- as she is now called - couldn't have been a better find for
us and our dog Lupus. The first few nights she slept in her kennel
without a peep. I don't think she quite knew what to make of it
all but a bowl full of food and lots of cuddles later she started
to settle in nicely. Only a couple little mishaps in the house which
I believe to be due to all the water she was drinking as Lupus and
her play for hours on end. She got out a few times the first week
but as I'm at home these days she wouldn't get far in the 5 minutes
that I realized she was missing. An amazing thing though.....we
had them both tied up for about a half an hour outside the grocery
store while we did a little shopping. When we came out she had managed
to chew through her leash but didn't go anywhere as she seems very
connected to Lupus and didn't want to leave his side. She is a very
intelligent dog and wonder why her original owners didn't feel lucky
to have her. I think some people just don't realize that a dog seems
to behave better when they are treated as part of the family and
not some sort of play toy. Anyway this is definitely a success story.
There are traits that I've never seen in Lupus now surfacing as
he is completely taken by her. We have a big old quilt we've dedicated
to them and they sleep side by side on it. I could keep on going
on the cuteness of it all and the hours of DOG TV we watch. So thank
you again and rest assured that she is doing well and putting in
lots of miles on our beautiful trails and is much loved.
