2006

  • 2006 Rescue dog JJ passes his St. John's Ambulance Therapy Dog test and is now visiting patients at a local facility!
  • July 2006 At the Metchosin Novice/Novice Sheep dog trial Scot wins both rounds in 1st place and was also overall winner
  • July 2006 Rescue dogs Maggie May and Scot earned their ASCA Started Trial Dog Sheep (STDs) titles at the ASC of BC stockdog trial
  • May 2006 Six TDBCR dogs qualify at Regionals for the AAC Nationals. Five of them go on to compete at Nationals!
  • 2006 Rescue dog Lobo takes 1st place in the Intermediate Distance Competition, beating 15 other professional disc dogs!
  • February 2006 Rescue dog Seamus is awarded the Double Dutch trophy by the Nanaimo Kennel Club for earning the following titles in 2005:

  • October 2005 The 2nd Annual TDBCR Rescue Dog Calendar goes on sale!

  • October 2005 TDBCR Rescue dog Charissa becomes a St. John's Ambulence Therapy Dog!

  • September 2005 TDBCR Island Coordinator Ruedi organizes a booth and demo at the SPCA Annual Bark in the Park event!

  • September 2005 TDBCR dogs are invited to particpate in a television preview for the Doggie Picnic at Cooper's Park! Several TDBCR dogs are featured on Breakfast Television!

  • August 2005 - TDBCR holds its third annual HYPERBOWL! Click here for photos
  • July 2005 TDBCR holds its second annual photo contest for the 2006 rescue calendar (contest begins July 20th 2005)

  • May / June 2005 Ru's story appears in Kennel Up magazine

  • May 2005 Ruedi, Island Coordinator, authors an article for the AAC Regionals insert in the Kamloops Daily News

  • May 2005 Six TDBCR rescue dogs qualify for the AAC Nationals at the AAC Regionals competition in Kamloops!

  • April 2005 President and Founder Sheena authors an article for the United States Border Collie Club newsletter.

  • March 2005 TDBCR holds an immensely successful booth at the Canwest Pet Expo, does both radio and print interviews and demonstrates the sport of flyball to the crowds! Ru and Cha Cha both appear on Global news! Ru and Heidi both participate in the Paws Ahead agility demo!

  • March 2005 TDBCR flyball team Rescue Remedy takes first place in its division at the Toonies' Kings flyball tournament!

  • February 2005 TDBCR rescue dog Maggie May receives the "Bel Ade" trophy from the Nanaimo Kennel Club, for an agility starters dog having the most qualifying runs in a single year!

2004

  • November 2004 TDBCR holds a successful fundraising booth at the West Coast Craft and Pet Fair

  • November 2004 TDBCR flyball team "Rescue Remedy" makes its debut at the Flying Squad tournament in Matsqui

  • August 2004 TDBCR launches its first major fundraiser, a calendar of all TDBCR rescue dogs!

  • April 2004 President and Founder Sheena does a radio interview for the Animal Wellness Show

  • March 2004 TDBCR rescue dog Ruger particpates in the Paws Ahead Agility Demo at the Canwest Pet Expo and is also featured on Global News!

  • December 2003 TDBCR holds a fundraiser - photos with Santa! - and raises over $300.00

  • October 2003 TDBCR adopts out 100 dogs!

Welcome to That'll Do Border Collie Rescue*

We are a not for profit breed rescue dedicated to helping border collies who need new homes. We usually have several wonderful dogs looking for new homes every day. If you can give a border collie an excellent forever home, or if you have a border collie that needs a new home, please contact us for more information on how we can help.

All of our dogs are neutered before adoption. We have alliances with province wide shelters and rescue groups and we welcome volunteers. If you can offer foster care or other volunteer services, please contact us! We look forward to hearing from you.
