We Find Homes For Dogs, Not Dogs For Homes

Our Mandate

  • to rescue, evaluate and rehome border collies and some mixes, as well as limited other herding breeds, into breed appropriate, screened permanent homes
  • to reproductively steralize all rescued border collies before placement to prevent the reproduction of rescued dogs, thereby reducing the number of border collies being bred
  • to educate the public about the border collie breed and its unique requirements to reduce the number of inappropriate purchases of border collies
  • to provide border collie owners with support for training issues and offer alternatives to rehoming their dogs

That'll Do Border Collie Rescue strives to place rescued border collies into permanent homes where they will be appreciated for the unique individuals that they are. We believe that not all dogs are right for all people, but the right people are out there for every one of our rescued dogs.

That'll Do Border Collie Rescue does not endeavour to profit from our resue efforts and does not endorse the sale of border collies as pets.

That'll Do Border Collie Rescue is committed to rescuing as many border collies as we can reasonable house and maintain.

That'll Do Border Collie Rescue maintains an ongoing dialogue with adopters or the duration of the rescue dogs' natural lives and we will always take back any dog for any reason.

That'll Do Border Collie Rescue is a small group of individuals who are committed to rescuing border collies who have been abandoned in shelters, or who are being rehomed by their owners. We are dedicated to reducing the number of breedable border collies by neutering every dog that comes through our rescue and educating people about the very unique needs of this very unique breed.

We give every dog the individual attention he needs and we strive to match him with the right home for his temperament. We never take in more dogs than we can properly evaluate and maintain. Our dogs are never warehoused or kennelled. They live with us as part of our families until they are adopted into new homes.

We do not operate as a for-profit exercise. Our adoption fees cover the costs associated with caring for rescue dogs. We require references, homechecks and extensive interviews with potential adopters to ensure they dogs are going to the best possible homes. At any time, we will take a dog back into the program.

Our goal is to continue to expand our network of foster homes so that we can maximize our usefulness and offer assistance to as many border collies as reasonably possible.
