TESTIMONIALS
FROM PEOPLE
WHO HAVE BEEN HELPED BY TDBCR TRAINERS
You
were a great help with Shady and your suggestions have helped
immensely. Shady reacts very well and is easier to handle already.
I even got him to heel for 30 minutes one day and he was so focused
and would watch me with one eye and his wet nose would touch my
leg, he would even look up at me to make sure he was good. It
was just amazing! He got to play with Frisco last night at the
beach and it was great to watch them run together and try to herd
each other.
I will let you know how it goes. Thanks for your positive feedback
and compliments to us. You are a great dog handler and it shows.
Cheers,
Kim
Well...we
took all of your advice and just want to thank you again for it!!!
Angel is now 10 months old. My son and I have been training her
extensively in obedience and plan on
trying to title her in UKC shows (believe she is part G. shepherd).
Working with her is becoming our addiction! In June, my son began
agility training with her. All of us love it!
Angel
has helped my son..a 13 yr old who had been struggling with self-esteem
problems, develop confidence in himself! Furthermore, our relationship
with each other has really improved through our shared experiences
with Angel and our older dog, Sherman. Dogs can do so much for
us, can't they?
We
have plans for another dog in the future...my son and I want to
compete with/against each other in obedience and agility. However,
our older dog (Sherman) is almost 10 yrs. old and is very slightly
arthritic in his hips...not a candidate for agility. I am working
with him in Novice obedience, though. As old as he is, he loves
the attention...acts like a young pup again! Who knows? Maybe
he'll earn his title before Angel...that would be a real tribute
to our old guy!
When
it is an appropriate time for us to get a new dog, we promise
to make every effort to get one thru rescue! People can do so
much too, can't they? It is people like you who make
a difference in this world. I never thought much about rescue
before...even though there are many resuce organizations for cats
in my area!

Further
to your referral to Cheryl, we boarded Jax for two weeks in February
with her.
He left us with some problems and the scant beginnings of some
training. He came back to us a new "person". His problems
seem to be eliminated and he is well on his way to being a very
obedient 5 month old puppy.
We couldn't be more pleased with the work Cheryl did while we
were on holidays. In any event, we are making a real effort to
build on the training foundation that Cheryl has given Jax.
Thanks again for the referral.

OTHER
FEEDBACK
Sounds
like you are having a busy start into the New year. I wanted to
ask your permission to use the above attachment to send to the
many general inquiries I receive from people hoping to acquire
Border Collie puppies as family pets. I refer most of these inquiries
to your website. I get a minimum of 6-10 inquiries via email and
phone calls a week. Your document so clearly defines the needs
of the breed and precautions for those wanting a family pet, I
would be grateful if you would allow me to forward it with acknowlegement
and referral to you.
Kind
regards, Martha

My
name is Kathy Towle and I am the vice-president of the North Island
Border Collie Club. We work very hard to keep the border collie
a working dog. Once a year we put on a sheepdog trial here in
the Comox Valley, sanctioned by the B C Stock dog Association.
I was down at Parksville for their All Dogs Day, and picked up
a copy of your publication, the description of the Border Collie.
I would like permission to photocopy this and have it available
at our trial. It voices our concerns very well, and I think would
be a huge help in educationg the public about Border Collies.
Please
let me know if this is possible.
Thank
you.
